Insurgents

Most people think that when they hear or refer to the word insurgents, they think of the Iraqi people. Having the conflict in Iraq and the communities surrounding Iraq, people should know Americans are a target from all the countries surrounding Iraq. Ten percent of insurgent's are the Iraq people but the other ninety percent are the countries and community's on the outside, like Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Sierra Lebanon and other groups of terrorist. Insurgents know that the United States military and other allies of the U.S are in the middle east so they know where to come. We're in easy target over there because we don't know who is who.

Days in iraq

The first day in Iraq was very weird. Never thought i would wake up in the morning and get mortar and rocket attacks at 0730 in the morning. What the majority of Marines and i thought about while we were there was, "Why are we here? For our jobs?", there were very indecisive feelings. The reason for this was because we were not there for a great cause even though it is our duty to be there and serve. We may not always agree on what goes on but we still have to do it in order to get the job the done.
